On Sunday, June 5 at 3:00 p.m. TAP will present Mass Appeal, by Bill C. Davis, a story about the friction between Father Tim Farley, a lover of the good things in life, who is comfortably ensconced as priest of a prosperous Catholic congregation, and Mark Dolson, an intense and idealistic young seminarian whom Father Farley reluctantly agrees to take under his wing. In the final essence their confrontation is a touching yet very funny examination of the nature of friendship, courage and the infinite variety of love.

On Sunday, June 12 at 3:00 p.m. TAP will present The Square Root of Love, by Daniel Meltzer, three stories about love, from youth to old age, from innocence to maturity. In The Square Root of Love, two genius-level college students discover that Man or Woman does not live by intellectual pursuits alone. The Battling Brinkmires are George and Marsha Brinkmire, a middle-aged couple who have come to Haiti to get a “quickie” divorce. This one has a surprise ending. In Waiting for to Go, we are on a jet waiting to take off for Florida. He’s a retired plumbing contractor who thinks his life is over; she’s a recent widow returning to her home in Hallandale.

Bring your lawn chairs and refreshments to the Oxford Community Center, 200 Oxford Rd., on Sunday, June 5 and Sunday, June 12 at 3 p.m. and enjoy the free shows. The shows will move indoors in the event of inclement weather. Make your free reservation now.
