TAP Seeks Singers for Hot ‘n’ Cole: A Cole Porter Celebration!

Oxford, Md – August 5, 2025 – Tred Avon Players (TAP) is holding open auditions for Hot ‘n’ Cole: A Cole Porter Celebration!, a smart and stylish revue showcasing the wit and charm of one of America’s greatest songwriters.
Audition Dates and Location:
TAP Office, 114 N Washington Street, 2nd Floor, Easton, Maryland
Thursday, Sept 4, 6–8 pm
Friday, Sept 5, 6–8 pm
Saturday, Sept 6, 10 am–noon
Directed by Marcia Gilliam, the show offers an exciting opportunity for singers and performers of all experience levels, high school age and up.
“Do you like performing onstage? Do you croon in the shower? Want some spotlight? Or prefer to be in a chorus? Come audition,” says Marcia. “Was your last performance as the third snowflake from the left when you were seven? Do you just wanna sing? Come audition!”
Casting:
3 to 6 men
3 to 6 women
All roles are singing roles. All parts are open!
What to Prepare: Please be ready to sing a verse and chorus of a song of your choice. Bring either sheet music (an accompanist will be provided) or a backing track.
Performances will run Oct 23–Nov 2, 2025 at the Oxford Community Center.
Production Crew Needed: TAP is also seeking volunteers for sets, lights, sound, costumes, and backstage crew. Interested individuals can attend an audition or email volunteers@tredavonplayers.org for more information.
